SCRIPTS in Chicago

March 18, 8:30 pm — FREE!
Hungry Brain
2319 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60618

SCRIPTS records is passionate about producing, promoting and archiving contemporary concert music, electronic composition and musicians taking influence from both genres. Founded by composers and Chicago natives David Paha and Edward Hamel, SCRIPTS began in 2015 while both David and Edward were living in Los Angeles. Deciding the progressive and evolving music scene of Chicago is best suited for the record label, Edward and Dave returned to Chicago in late 2016. SCRIPTS offers limited runs of vinyl as well as digital downloads to their artists. They continue to expand their catalog by seeking out Chicago ensembles, composers and musicians while also bringing national projects into distribution within local Chicago record stores.

SCRIPTS will be celebrating the release of David James Paha's "Kill Your Temple/Kill Your Design" available on 12 inch vinyl and digital download. We are fortunate to have The Rhythm Method join us from NYC to perform a new string quartet from Leah Asher. Only will be performing music from their album "Potential Language" as well as new material from their forthcoming EP.
